Common rates are supported by the current Zerodha charge schedule, Dhan tariff, Angel One tariff and NSE levy schedule. Dhan and Angel quote NSE transaction charges at 0.0030699%; this model rounds to 0.00307%. m.Stock’s intraday table still quotes 0.00297%; the harmonized current schedule is used. Older Kotak disclaimers list a different IPFT value. Confirm charges against your latest contract note.
Effective dates: Kotak’s 9.69% Pro annual rate was announced effective 01 Jul 2025 (official notice). Other current tariff pages do not consistently identify effective dates; no date is inferred. No automatic rate refresh occurs.
Buy turnover = buy orders × buy order value. Sell turnover = sell orders × sell order value. Brokerage is calculated per executed order, including the relevant percentage, cap and minimum. For tiny equity orders, a 2.5% maximum brokerage cap is applied to m.Stock and Angel One; contractual penny-stock rules can differ. Splitting ₹1 lakh into many small orders can cost more than one large order.
Delivery and MTF use delivery STT on buys and sells. Intraday uses sell-side STT. Stamp duty applies only to buys. Exchange, SEBI and IPFT apply to total turnover. DP charges apply only to delivery debits, never ordinary intraday trades.
Funded amount × daily rate × charged calendar days. Published daily rates are used directly; annual headline rates are not divided by 365 when a daily rate is stated. No compounding is assumed. Balance is constant across the period; for variable borrowing use separate scenarios.
Dhan: funded balance × (charged days − settlement days) × daily rate, plus full MTF position × settlement days × daily rate. This reflects its support example. Other rows use funded balance for all entered days. Start/stop rules and holidays differ; use the actual charged days on each broker’s ledger when reconciling a bill.
A missing tariff is never replaced by zero. The known subtotal remains visible with “+ unverified fees” and is excluded from ranking. Enter a confirmed tariff in the broker breakdown; the result is then labeled as using your custom input.
STT and stamp duty round to the nearest whole rupee on the scenario’s aggregate turnover. Other fee lines round to two decimals; GST is computed from those fee lines. Actual daily contract-note rounding can differ when this scenario spans multiple days.
Capital is used for the cost/capital ratio and to check the cash contribution to your MTF position. It does not generate turnover or automatically grant leverage. Intraday capital may be reused. Stock-specific margins, lending eligibility and broker funding limits are not inferred.
Calculation checks cover a manually calculated ₹1 lakh intraday round trip; delivery taxes and DP; capped versus uncapped brokerage; MTF slab boundaries; Dhan settlement interest; missing tariffs; GST; zero orders; and invalid inputs. Those are arithmetic checks, not a contract-note reconciliation.
